Culmicrinus vagulus
crinoid from the Big Clifty Formation from Crawford County, Indiana, Mississippian in age. The crinoid measures 1

ith 1/2” of stem
and is highly
detailed
. The matrix measures

”. As you can see from the pictures, the crinoid is nicely articulated and has outstanding quality. The white calcite displays beautifully against the gray limestone matrix. T
his is an extremely rare crinoid and the last one I have.
This was masterfully prepared under a scope. This was found in 1978 and just recently prepared. The “lens” where this and others I’ll be posting is collected out.
